New Horizon is the first movement of Four Expressions for Symphony Orchestra, presented here as a standalone fanfare. Through spirited musical gestures, rapidly exchanged lines of dialogue, and moments of focused reflection, the music celebrates collaboration, learning, and the exchange of ideas that lead to new understanding.
This modern orchestral fanfare contrasts expansive tutti writing with quietly intense passages, building toward a confident and dramatic arrival, making it an effective and flexible concert opener.
