Why I Wrote This Piece
Commissioned by the Zephyr Brass Collective to create music that comfortably bridges classical, popular, and contemporary musical traditions.
Program Note
Go Again! is a unique addition to the brass quintet repertoire. Commissioned and premiered by the Zephyr Brass Collective, this work combines traditional brass quintet instrumentation with a contemporary feel. Played with a carefully arranged audio track (electronics) music draws influence from classical, funk, EDM, and pop music, offering a "palette cleansing" work to the standard brass quintet recital.
