Fanfare for Brass and Percussion was written in 2015 for a competition which asked for a piece of music that could act as "sister piece" to Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man. This piece  offers the opportunity to play music with the same heroic style, to a wider range of ensembles. It received its premiere in South Tyrol, Italy by the music school in Bolzano under the direction of Andreas Kofler.
